Pieterskwartier, Leiden
For the historic Pieterskwartier in Leiden, ARTvertisements developed a visual storytelling concept bringing the rich history of the neighbourhood into the streets. Empty shop windows, pavement signs and postcards became carriers of stories and imagery.
With its narrow alleys, hidden courtyards, the monumental Pieterskerk and numerous historic buildings, the area has a remarkable past. Over the centuries, figures including Rembrandt van Rijn, the Pilgrims, Marie Curie and Albert Einstein have all been connected to this part of Leiden.
The project transformed local history into a visual experience, allowing residents and visitors to discover stories of the neighbourhood while walking through its streets.
