Damian Callan
Welcome back to Edinburgh artist Damian Callan.
Damian first joined Chameleon Arts back in 1997.
He was working at his studio WASPs Studios and almost straight away he was commissioned by a wealthy client to produce 6 oil on canvas paintings fo his Mayfair apartment.
After successfully completing the work the same client paid for Damian to go to his factory in Sweden and work on painted Light Box installations.
Damian took part and sold work in our first ‘live’ Chameleon Arts exhibition at The Outrageous Art Gallery, in Edinburgh.
He regularly exhibited and made sales at The Raddison Hotel on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile during our run of Chameleon Arts mixed exhibitions there bewteen 2006 -2008 and he also had a successful solo show and opening via these exhibitions.
Damian was also featured along with two other Chameleon Artists at the time in an article on Scottish Contemporary Artists in Artists & Illustrators Magazine.
It’s good to see that Damian hasn’t lost his passion for drawing and painting over these past years and he also teaches art classes to adults and children.
